Hangari Kalguksu

Definitely would come back here! Not the typical Korean food I order, but I would order everything we got again.

We first ordered their signature dish, the Hangari Bossam (the pork belly it came with was very tender… you’re supposed to eat it with the veggies acting like a sandwich).

We also ordered the Chicken Kal Guk Su. Chicken was ok, but really liked the broth and udon noodles that were in it.

We also got a side of dumplings, which were also great.

Kazu Nori

Grabbed lunch here (it was a 12 minute walk from our hotel in downtown LA). Gotta say I would go back (and didn’t get any stomach issues after!).

For drinks I got a Sapporo light. For food, got the 4 hand roll combo (came with Toro, yellowtail, NZ Sea bream, and crab hand rolls). I also added salmon sashimi, and a lobster hand roll. Honestly, it was all good. I would say the lobster hand roll and salmon sashimi were my favorite, but I also dislike the crab (which was the opposite opinion of some people as they thought it was to mayo ish).

Baekjeong Korean BBQ LA

We went here for dinner in our first night in LA. Definitely was excited to go here because I had recently just visited the New York one.

In terms of the side dishes, I will say New York had more variety (ie they had the crab cakes). Nonetheless, food was still good. They had the side of eggs that slowly gets cook as you’re eating, which is similar to New York.

The combo we got was the beef combo that serves 4-5 people. It came with the pork kimchi stew that was really really good.

For drinks, got some peach flavored Soju.

So yea, would come back here again. It is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time (although they are strict about your whole party showing up at the same time).
