Souvlaki Story

Went here after a long night out in Mykonos.

I got a gyros (aka shawarma) plate. It comes with a lot of food (see below). Would grab this again (even for non-late night food).

Cookie Smart Bakery

Grabbed a quick desert pastry at this place.

Basically got a baklava type thing that was chocolate filled, plus a latte. Was pretty good.

Mykonos Social

We twenty to this place for dinner because Jason Atherton (head chef of this restaurant) is a Michelin star chef.

This restaurant is in a resort in what we called the “rich” part of Mykonos. You NEED a reservation to get into the resort (it’s guarded by a gate).

For drinks, we got a white wine from Santorini. Also got something called The Avenger (which had a mix of Monkey Shoulder whisky, and some tomato sauce. Almost feel it was derived from a Caesar, but it’s not spicey.

For appetizers, we got a salmon dish, a ham dish, a dish with feta and vegetables in bread, and sea bass with pesto. All great and would get them again.

For the main, we got a medium cooked tomahawk steak, penne with pesto, a Greek salad, and some sort of fish dish. All were great.

For desert, got a white chocolate cake thing. It’s good in small doses (wouldn’t get one for myself).

Eva’s Garden

We came here for dinner on our first night in Mykonos.

For drinks, got an Aperol Spritz. For appetizers, we shared a Greek meatball dish called Soutzoukakia. It tasted like a traditional meatball dish, but still pretty good. Also got some fried feta. It was alright, but prefer mozzarella sticks.

For my main, got penne with salmon. It was great, and again, great portion size.

Athinios Restaurant-Cafe

Went here to grab lunch before our ferry from Santorini to Mykonos took off.

Place was good, but wish they served cocktails (it was on their menu!).

For drinks, got a Rose (pretty standard). For food, we got tzatziki with pita (the tzatziki itself was really good, but the pita bread was meh compared to others we had tried in Greece), and a mixed salad (felt pretty refreshing).

For the main, I wanted to try something Greek. In the menu, they listed spaghetti and meatballs under it, so I gave that a try. It was pretty good, but didn’t really see what was so “Greek” about it (tasted like a traditional spaghetti).

Overall, a good place to wait for your ferry, especially since they had a screen you could use to watch you ferry come in.

Lucky’s

Another Mediterranean place we tried in Greece, but this one was fast food.

Got a Gyro pita. Interestingly outside America they add fries inside it. It tasted pretty good, but would still prefer a plate instead of a pita.

For appetizers, we got falafel and tzatziki. I would admit the falafel was a bit dry.”, but tzatziki was good.

In the end, would come here again, but maybe try a plate or even the souvlaki.

Pacman Sunset Restaurant

We went here for our second night at Santorini.

We were supposed to come here for sunset? But came a little later because we were taking pictures somewhere else in Oia. But we did make it to see it would have been a great sunset view.

The place itself is pretty legit. There’s an infinity pool with a pool bar (closes at 6pm though), and a DJ that is live mixing.

Will say drinks and food are a bit expensive, but everything was great.

For appetizers, got a hamachi truffle roll, crispy calamari and tomato pepper spread with pita. All great.

For drinks, got something called tropical art rum with lychee and pineapple juice, and something called summer _____ (sparkling win, passion fruit and vanilla).

For the main course, got something called Skioufixta, which is smoked salmon bits the Cretan pasta. Also great, and portion size was just right.

Overall, would come back again!

Pearl on the Cliff

While walking from Thira to Oia, we stopped by this place for lunch (city called Imerovigli)

Aside from the service being a bit slow, this place was great (from the food to the view).

For drinks, got an Aperol Spritz and a latte.

For appetizers, got some spreads (tzatziki and a salmon spread… really loved the salmon spread), as well as tomato fritters.

For the main course, got the spinach ravioli.

Idol

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Santorini. It was recommended by our AirBnb host.

In terms of atmosphere and view, I really liked this place. Got some great sunset pictures here.

For drinks, tasted the Macallen Amber for the first time (apparently it is a different type of “line” from the regular macallen). Honestly, couldn’t really see why it’s worth more than a Macallen 12.

For appetizers, we got the mixed salad, fried calamari, and Greek carpaccio (which is made out of sea bass instead of beef). I’d order all of them again.

For the main, got a lobster pasta. Also really good (although a bit El dente).

Overall, would come back. However, the group might feel a bit different because they didn’t like the service (and gave no tip).

Midi Eats

We ended up going to the “Midi” part of Brussels unexpectedly, and wanted Italian food.

Got a chicken penne pasta. Overall, it’s great and I would come back here.
