Blue Blood

We checked out this place for drinks (which is inside Casa Loma). It’s also a restaurant too, which I need to check out at some other point in time (as I was leaving, I caught a glimpse of a delicious lobster tail).

For drinks, we started off with a nitrogen infused drink (it had whisky and some other sweet liqueur). It tasted great (and our friend knew the bartender, which made it that much better). I also grabbed a second drink, but don’t really remember it.

Tatemono

As tradition goes, I try to go to an AYCE sushi restaurant every time I visit Canada. This place was in Whitby.

I have to say, aside from the deep fried scallops, this place was pretty bad. The rolls were nothing special, and even the fried dishes were meh. I guess that’s enough said.

Marbl

So we tried this place on Boxing Day since it was the one of the only places open for dinner. And man, I definitely am glad we went here.

We ended up ordering the Marbl share platter, which included a 48oz steak, lamb, scallops, shrimps, potatoes, broccoli with cheese, and fries. Everything tasted great (and I didn’t even mind the lamb). Drink we’re also great (but not sure what I ordered).

R & G Restaurant

Ok, so I give this restaurant several thumbs up.

First off, they have lychee martini as the first drink in their cocktail menu. 👌

For the food, I would get everything again (except maybe the mussels). We ordered a nicely peppered Dungeness crab, hot and sour soup, calamari, oxtail, chow mein, fried rice, and one other fried dish (I wanna say short ribs).
