Nories Fish and Chips

We stopped by here after our visit to Oban Distillery (since Oban town is known for seafood).

For apps, got the calamari. It was bomb.

For the main got the haddock fish and chips (learned that the haddock, although cheaper, is actually better than the cod for fish and chips because it is sweeter. But cod is better for grilling).

Overall, would come back if I wanted fish and CB ips. Although the fries aren’t as crispy as I would normally like them.

Encore Une Fois

We ate here for a dinner at Inverness. Got to say even though we had to wait an hour for our reservation, it was worth it.

First the piano player / singer was amazing. Also the drinks were good (got a raspberry and lemon martini and an Aperol spritz).

For appetizer the pork belly was phenomenal. And for the main, got the cod (it had mussels, but safely ignored that). Would get everything again.

Update July 26, 2026:

Went back here and got the haggis bon bon to start, and the fish and chips. I will say the food from the first time around was better, but food this time wasn’t bad. Oh, and got an espresso martini which was really good.

Duke of Edinburgh

Had a team lunch here, since it’s walkable from Apple Park.

For bar food, I found the prices slightly high. I ended up getting the fish and chips, which was pretty standard. I also had an old fashion to accompany it.

I wouldn’t mind coming back here, but definitely not a first choice for lunch.
