Marta

Checked out this Italian in hopes of eating some pasta. However, there was no pasta. Still a good place to eat.

We got the scallops for appetizers. Great choice. For my main, got the chicken. It was cooked perfectly (not dry at all). Also got the potatoes on the side.

For wine, I got something called the montecheubbsgd… (it was a black cherry type flavor). Thought it was interestingly light (but Ben said it’s because it doesn’t taste acidic.

Burgermeester

Apparently this place is the first gourmet burger place in the Netherlands!

I got the cheeseburger. Overall, the burger was ok, but there were two reasons I didn’t fully enjoy it. The first is that the bread was toasted (which is not really used to with a burger). The second reason is that I think the cheddar cheese overpowered the burger (Swiss cheese might’ve been better to use. I think though that other people would enjoy the burger.

Piccino

I really unique Italian restaurant, where their main dishes don’t center around pasta.

We ordered a bunch of dishes. We got the [kenne aged goat cheese, spring compote, sparrow brea], a salad with octopus, [garden greens, shallots, herbs, breakfast raffish, and red wine vinaigrette], the funghi pizza, and one pasta dish (pictured below) that I can’t seem to recall the name. All dishes were good, but what I would definitely order again when I’m there is the 2nd, 4th and 5th dishes I mentioned.

We also ordered red wine to go with our meal, which made a great pairing.
