We tried this Asian fusion restaurant for lunch, which was conveniently located in our hotel in Dubai (Taj Hotel). Service here was excellent.

For drinks got the whisky sour and the Mulin Rouge. Didn’t really like their whisky sour (it wasn’t sweet at all). A friend got a drink with ube infused vodka, which I though my actually tasted good.

For appetizers, they served some Asian chips with some dips (best one was the plum sauce one). We also ordered the shrimp Cheung fun dimsum and the chicken Sui Mai. The former was great, the latter, well let’s just say I prefer it with pork.

For main, got the black cod and the pad Thai. Both were excellent (pad Thai had a bit too much sauce, but didn’t mind it).

The Bar at The Modern

Went to this place for pre-dinner drinks (it is attached to the Moma, but not in the museum itself).

You can show up, and there is a chance you can get a lounge table at the bar (it’s a first come first serve).

We only tried the boneless chicken bucket (which comes with fries). Would get it again.

For drinks, tried a variety of drinks. From a whisky sour to a pisco sour to an espresso martini without simple syrup.

This restaurant is part of Jean George’s restaurants (whose restaurant by the same name has two Michelin stars).

First, I’ll say all the food is great. Will definitely com back here again.

For drinks, got their version of a whisky sour. Definitely would get it again.

For appetizers, got a crab salad (not pictured below), corn soup, and a sashimi avocado lettuce wrap. All great.

For the main, got the clam linguini, as well as tried the chicken. Would get either dish again.

Overall, had a solid meal.

Slanted Door

This restaurant is great if you know what to order.

From what is pictured below, the crab noodles, the beef dish and the chicken spring rolls were great. I was not really a fan of the ribs or mussels.

In terms of drinks, the first one I ordered want great. The whisky sour though was terrific.
