Ayada- Chelsea Market

So went to this place twice since it was so good.

First, there are two Ayada restaurants in Chelsea Market (both have the same menu). Tried both. One is more fast food atmosphere, while the other is more lounge-ish. I’d go back to the latter one again (but don’t mind the former).

They have a full bar. First time I got an espresso martini without any sweetener. Second time got toki on the rocks. No complains for either.

For food, both times got the pad seeew with beef. So good. Easily best pad seeew ever. Also got the green curry the first time. Very spicey (next time choose mild!). Then got the carb filled wontons and the pork belly apps (didn’t hate them, but don’t love them, so would try something new next time).

Next time would want to try the crab fried rice.

Handshake Speakeasy

This was the first place we checked out in Mexico City in the Roma NTE (north) area.

This is the number 3 bar in the world apparently.

The speakeasy was hidden in the Nh hotel, and the entrance looks like the door in the picture below.

Some drinks I had were the Banana Split (it came with a Lego piece that was edible!), and. If in Japan. Both were great. Also got a Toki highball, which was just as expected.

We also got all the food on the menu below (all shareable). I would say the best is the braised beef and mushroom brioche. (I wouldn’t get the other food).

Ruka Restobar

Went to this place for my first dinner in Boston (wanted something with noodles).

Sat at the bar and got a couple of drinks plus food. Got a memoset as a drink (of course a whisky based cocktail) and toki highball (they had a very large Japanese whisky selection).

For food, got the Pork Yakisoba. I liked it, but didn’t have enough meet (would get it again, but paired with something else with more meat. Some people would say it was just instant noodles with a bunch of flavoring and some meet added).

I liked the vibe of the restaurant, and the bartender was good to talk to (he gave some suggestions for speak easys). I would come back here.
