Chotto Matte

We came here from a suggestion from a hostess at a happy hour bar (who was from Netherlands). Great suggestion.

For dinner, got 1 sushi sampler and 1 meat sampler to share between 4 of us. That plus a dragon roll was good enough (didn’t feel too full).

For drinks got an old fashion, plus some slushy based drink.

Also, according to our waiter, apparently on the Fridays it is a different vibe with fire dancers also appearing.

Momo (Amsterdam)

First dinner in Amsterdam (3rd trip), which was conveniently located at our hotel.

For drinks, got an Aperol Spritz, and a whisky drink (Glen Morangie).

For food, Chicken skewered with peanut sauce, tempura, spicy tuna roll, Momo roll, Alaskan king crab roll, lobster roll, and a side of pad Thai. Would get everything again.

Akira Back

Ok, so this place was awesome. Had a good vibe, and I really liked the food.

For two people, I recommend getting all of the following: wagyu tacos, sashimi platter, protein roll, King Crab fried rice, and show me the roll.

Next time I think I would also get the Rock shrimp to try.

For drinks, since they had toki, got a toki highball.

TimeOut Market Lisboa

Went to this place for a late lunch in the Baixa neighborhood. They have a lot of local Portuguese food. Ended up eating sushi at Confraria do Sushi (thought process is that Lisbon is known for seafood, so why not try it!)

Also, this market has a dedicated Aperol Spritz stand! Definitely took advantage of that.

Kaisen Misakikou Shibuya Higashiguchi-Shop

So we found this place near our hotel in Shibuya while walking to find something to eat. It’s a conveyor belt sushi place. Overall, great food, and very fast.

Got a sashimi plate, a nigiri plate, and of course a highball. Would recommend coming back here again.

PS. Could not find this on Google maps (it is on Apple Maps though).

Katsumidori Seibu Shibuya

We came to this place as our first meal in Shibuya (it was a recommendation from a friend).

Although it is conveyor belt sushi, there weren’t too many items on the conveyor belt (you mainly ordered from an iPad).

Among the items I got: sashimi, nigiri, salmon, tuna, California rolls, highballs.

Would definitely come back to this place again.

PS. It was a bit tricky to find since it was in a mall (you take an elevator up to some floor, and then it’s a 30 second walk. Also note the line seemed pretty long, but it went by fast, like 30 minutes).

Sushi Cocoro & Udon

Ordered from the place twice through door dash. This was the last meal in Kona, Hawaii.

Overall, the rolls are pretty meh (ie. Not super fresh, but still ok to eat). There is this one role that has deep fried crab in it which I really liked. Would get that again.

Araxi

This place was definitely worth it.

I had already eaten before coming here, so I ended ordering just an appetizer (the lobster sushi roll, which was also good). However, I should’ve gotten the main course that had the pork and scallops (serving size was not big, and it tasted great).

A.Y.C.E. Buffet

This buffet is located in the Palms, which is convenient if you’re going to be checking out Kaos (or coming from there).

The buffet was only $27, but you definitely get what you pay for. A lot of the food seemed like they’ve been out for a while (ie dry because of being under the lamp heaters for so long). The only two things I like were the coconut shrimp, and the corn. The ribs were terrible, and also the Korean short ribs.

Wynn Buffet

Definitely a buffet to revisit. The king crab legs are one of the main features (not pictured). Also, they do have bottomless mimosas for an additional $22.

The buffet has food from all sorts of ethnicities (Japanese, Chinese/dim sum, American, Italian). Also, the desserts were good, notably the ice cream (and a coupe of other deserts that I can’t remember at the time of this writing).

Not pictured below are the crab legs. Definitely a must to get.
