Senor Sisig

Try various Filipino food, I decided to try this food truck.

I did like the food, but I think I got mild food poisoning from it :/. I ordered the pork sisig with egg.

Firebird Hotpot

This is a very simple, but fancy and soy hot pot place.

I got the Wagyu beef and pork hot pot, which was great. They also had a full, since they were connected to the hotel.

The one thing they did try and do is they included tip in the receipt even though there was only 3 of us (fortunately Mark caught that).

Cafe at Montserrat

We ate lunch at this cafeteria after exploring around Montserrat.

The rating for this place was 2.8. I would have to agree based on the pork and pasta quality. I ordered the 3 piece meal, and from the pork, chicken strips and pasta, the chicken strips were the only thing that was good. The pasta was ok, but something seemed off, and the pork was super hard and dry.

Lizarran

We dropped by this place for a quick bite to eat, where they served pinchos for only 2 euros each.

From the ones pictured below, the salmon with cream cheese was great, and the one with cooked pork.

Pho Tran Vu

Gotta say, I thought this place would be one I’d go back to, but likely not.

I ordered the “Grilled Pork, Egg Roll, Vermicelli” dish. The egg roll was good, but the pork itself seemed off (like it was soggy. I don’t think it was undercooked since it didn’t have any pink). Anyway, my stomach was a bit upset afterwards (and I’m blaming the pork).

Ajisen Ramen

Overall, ramen was good. I got the Ajisen Best Ramen combo, which had a good variety of meat (tender pork ribs, premium pork, and BBQ pork). I would come back here again.

New Mongolian BBQ

Walking on Castro street in Mountain view, we decided to try this place.

For the price ($16 for dinner), I think this place was worth it. They had the standard meat selection (beef, chicken, pork, and lamb). I thought the pork was a bit too fatty, but I guess most people would like that.

For the vegetables I thought the selection was decent (peppers, baby corn, mushrooms, carrots). For the carbs, they only had one noodle selection (I kinda wish they had a variety l, not just the thick noodles). They also had tofu, which I definitely enjoyed!

For the sauce, you want to do the house special mix (the original mix was ok, but not as good as the special).

It is also worth noting this place does not serve alcohol 🙁
