Scarr’s Pizza

This is apparently a popular pizza place in china town. Fortunately when we got there the line wasn’t too long.

They’re known I think for their thick square pizza’s. I got a pepperoni square pizza, but also a regular cheese pizza. Both were great.

What was also good about this place is that there is a bar to hang out at the back of the restaurant. That enhanced the vibe for me.

Vic’s

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in New York in NOHO.

Overall, great Italian place an vibe. Would come back here again.

For drinks I mainly got an Aperol Spritz. For food, we shared several appetizers, and also each got our own main (not 100% sure what most things below are called, but would heat each of them again).

John’s of Bleecker Street

Apparently the number pizza place in Manhattan.

Got a pepperoni pizza and a mozzarella sticks. The pizza was great (but won’t say is absolutely THE best). It is pretty light (crust is not too thick), cheese is good, and not too much sauce. Mozerella stick was pretty standard. I would come back again (but wouldn’t go out of my way). Also paired my dinner with a merlot (which also was pretty standard).

Restaurant Mizerola

We found this restaurant walking around Hvar at night. Most restaurants were busy, and this one had space. Overall a great find.

I got a pizza (mushroom, salami, cheese), and for drinks got a wine from Hvar (called global wine). The pizza was good, and the wine was ok. Would come here again, but would also try other places in the area.

Terminal F

This place was recommended by our AirBnB host. It had mostly American food, and it was pretty meh. Got a pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni and cheese, and wasn’t the biggest fan. for a drink, got Four roses (wanted to keep it simple.

Kona Brewery

We went to this place for a late lunch.

I originally wanted to get a seltzer (from tap), but they ran out. So I got a sampler of longboard IPA, as well as the wailing wheat beer. Both are what I expected from the beers.

For lunch, tried the margarita and Hawaiian pizza. The margarita pizza was pretty bland, but the Hawaiian pizza had a bbq sauce twist to it, and was pretty good.

Mega Bites

Checked out this pizza place after a long night of drinking in Vancouver (Yaletown).

Grabbed a pepperoni slice and a meat lover slice. Both were great, and reminded me of Pizza Hut (even the greasiness).

The Society Cafe

Went to this fancy restaurant for the first night I was in NYC.

From the starting bread, to the mushroom cheese pizza, to the steak, to the chocolate cake with chocolate mint ice cream, the food was really good. Also, the merlot went great with the food.

Casino Barcelona

We grabbed some very late night (5am) food here, since it was the only “food” place open near the night clubs.

I had a pepperoni pizza (that also had ham on it), and it was very tasty. Couldn’t stop myself from finishing it. Would definitely come back here for late night food.

Piccino

I really unique Italian restaurant, where their main dishes don’t center around pasta.

We ordered a bunch of dishes. We got the [kenne aged goat cheese, spring compote, sparrow brea], a salad with octopus, [garden greens, shallots, herbs, breakfast raffish, and red wine vinaigrette], the funghi pizza, and one pasta dish (pictured below) that I can’t seem to recall the name. All dishes were good, but what I would definitely order again when I’m there is the 2nd, 4th and 5th dishes I mentioned.

We also ordered red wine to go with our meal, which made a great pairing.
