Figaro

Went for dinner at this restaurant before seeing a comedy show at the Comedy Cellar in the west village.

For appetizers, got the salmon over crispy rice. Great choice and would definitely get it again. For the main course, got the scallops with trofie pasta. Also great choice (scallops were cooked just right).

For drinks, did the standard Aperol spritz (as this is an Italian restaurant).

Aki Del-Mar Mariscos

We went here for lunch when we got to Nazaré.

The sparkling wine was fairly cheap (and sweet). A 350ml bottle was only 10 euros.

For the main, got the crab and lobster pasta. Honestly, it was pretty good, but I wouldn’t get it again since the lobster was a pain to get the meat out (the shrimp it came with was good, and the lobster was pretty easy).

Vic’s

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in New York in NOHO.

Overall, great Italian place an vibe. Would come back here again.

For drinks I mainly got an Aperol Spritz. For food, we shared several appetizers, and also each got our own main (not 100% sure what most things below are called, but would heat each of them again).

Skinos

So this place has a really great vibe (almost Vegas like), good music, and really good food. We actually went back twice in one trip!

For drinks, has an espresso martini and mimosa.

For appetizers, has the fried calamari, the thinly sliced fish (what do you call that?), and the meatballs.

For the main (not sure why I don’t have a picture), got the lobster pasta and the beef brisket. Both were great, and would get them again).

Wabi Sabi

This restaurant is on site at the Garden Tisno. Got to say that the service is super slow (from food delivery to getting the bill).

In terms of food, the prawn linguini was ok (sauce was a bit sour for my taste). Also, ordered a Prosecco, and it was too flat (and didn’t taste right.

On a later day got the lemon juice. It was freshly squeezed, but also too sour.

Ponds Hilo

We had a late lunch for our trip to Hilo, and fortunately this place was still open.

For drinks, had a Big Island Coffee (Kalua, macadamia nut liquor, creme de cocoa, baileys, and coffee). Also has a lychee rum martini. Both drink were great, and what I wanted 🙂

For the appetizer and starter, I had the clam chowder and see fried calamari. I thought the chowder was a bit too salty, and the calamari was too fried. Didn’t hate either of them though.

For the main course, I got the mandarin bbq pork ribs, with a side of pesto pasta. I enjoyed the ribs. The pasta tastes good, but I think the crushed nuts texture was a little weird (but like I said, tastes was good).

Lastly, thought the view in this restaurant was great.

The Fish Hopper Seafood and Steaks

First restaurant I ate in Hawaii (Kona). It’s in the main town in Holualoa.

Overall, I did get a tourist vibe from the place. However, the drink I ordered, the toasted pina colada, was really good, and the perfect first drink in Hawaii.

For the main course I ordered a clam chowder and seafood pastaZ the pasta was great. The clam chowder was a bit too thick (the last picture posted was a ultimate Bloody Mary with a slider and bacon attached to it, which I did not ordered, but thought was really cool).

Cheesecake Factory

I’ve been here many times, but here’s the first post about it (and will likely get updated later).

This time around I got a “calorie-wise” dish, which was the “chicken pot pie”. Obviously, as you can see, it’s not a really chicken pot pie. However, it was pretty light, which is what I wanted.

Usually when I’m here I get the chicken marsala. The portion size is wayyy to large, so I usually eat half of it. (fyi, the San Jose sauce is better than the Palo Alto version).

And of course, As the name implies, I usually get a cheesecake. My go to is the chocolate chip cookie dough.

Wynn Buffet

Definitely a buffet to revisit. The king crab legs are one of the main features (not pictured). Also, they do have bottomless mimosas for an additional $22.

The buffet has food from all sorts of ethnicities (Japanese, Chinese/dim sum, American, Italian). Also, the desserts were good, notably the ice cream (and a coupe of other deserts that I can’t remember at the time of this writing).

Not pictured below are the crab legs. Definitely a must to get.

Cafe at Montserrat

We ate lunch at this cafeteria after exploring around Montserrat.

The rating for this place was 2.8. I would have to agree based on the pork and pasta quality. I ordered the 3 piece meal, and from the pork, chicken strips and pasta, the chicken strips were the only thing that was good. The pasta was ok, but something seemed off, and the pork was super hard and dry.
