Wild Ink

Grabbed lunch at this American Asian restaurant.

We got the dim sum platter plus the fluke crisp as an appetizer. Gotta say all the dishes were pretty awesome (although very Americanized).

The Society Cafe

Went to this fancy restaurant for the first night I was in NYC.

From the starting bread, to the mushroom cheese pizza, to the steak, to the chocolate cake with chocolate mint ice cream, the food was really good. Also, the merlot went great with the food.

Real Kung Fu Little Steamed Buns Ramen

We popped into this place before catching a show on Broadway that was at 7pm. Service here was fast, and we were out within an hour.

We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. The only dish I wouldn’t get again from below is the “Ramen” (I would barely call that dish a ramen… it was basically noodles and beef in soup). Everything else was great (although the Michelin recommended bun didn’t seem too special, but I would get it again).

Chikarashi

Tried out this sushi-bowl place in lower midtown. I got their signature dish, the sichuan chili salmon. The location we went to was on 27th street (this place is a fast food chain in New York).

I could go to this place again, but one thing that I did notice is that the mayo sauce was kinda thick.

Bar Goto

We checked out this place to catch up with a friend who now lives in New York.

Although the place was small, the food and drinks were great (not sure what drinks I ordered, but I did notice a bunch of Japanese whiskey on the wall).

The one dish we got that stood out (pictured below) is the Okonomi-Yaki. We also got chicken wings as well as a deep fried cauliflower dish (name??).

Her Name is Han

We checked out this place in Korea town.

I ordered the short ribs. It came in a sweet sauce, and there was a good amount of meat (unlike the usual order or short ribs in a Korean restaurant). Also, the side dishes were great (is the salad, miso soup and this tofu dish).

Also, we saw David Schwimmer in this restaurant! A great reason to come back here 🙂
