Cafe Del Mar

2nd time I’ve been here, and always doesn’t disappoint with the sunset and vibe. Music is chill, people here are chill, and drinks are great.

Went here mainly for the sunset, but also got a Pina colada and a mojito. The Pina colada was great, but I would say the mojito could have been better.

Il Palazzo

We went to this “a la carte” restaurant in our all inclusive resort at Grand Palladium. It is supposed to be the best a la carte restaurant on the resort. It did not disappoint!

For drinks, they kept refilling our white wine glasses, but also was doubling down on the strawberry mojito.

For appetizers, we got the tomato with buffalo cheese, as well as the prosciutto. Both great options.

For mains, I ended up getting the lasagna. It was good, but a friend got the seafood linguini, and part of me kinda wanted that.

For desert, finished off the a cannelloni. It was a bit harder than I was used to, but still good.

Chef Josephine

Came to this place for thanksgiving in New York.

The place had a traditional French vibe (person I was with said it seems very Paris authentic). The history behind the restaurant is that some popular broadway star used to own the place.

In terms of atmosphere, the piano player really set the happy mood for the night.

For thanksgiving, it was a fixed menu. For the appetizer, got the crab cakes. They were really good. For the main, got the turkey. Turkey was good, but stuffing and butter nut squash were meh. For dessert, not sure what it was called, but it’s pictured below (also was meh). I think overall the price ($85 per person) was not worth it. They did however give some macaroons at the end, which were great.

For drinks, got an espresso martini and some sort of mojito. Both were also meh.

BB Club

First restaurant we went to at Hvar. We grabbed brunch here, and I have to say it was my best meal so far.

For food, got the linguini and added chicken. It came with a while mozzarella ball, and the sauce was really good.

For the drink, got a strawberry mojito (since they were out of mimosas). It was ok (would’ve really had a better experience with the mimosa lol).

Update (8/5/2021): we came back here for brunch at the last day in Hvar (thought it was that good). This time got brunch (scrambled eggs with bacon). Also got a mimosa (orange juice was hand made). Both were fantastic.

Barra Barra Saloon

We went to this place for a quick drink. I gotta say, this place was pretty bad in terms of drinks. I got a mojito, and it tasted water downed, to the point I could not taste either alcohol or the flavor. The quesedilla on the other hand was ok. However, not coming back here again.l (although I will say the chips and salsa were actually good also).

La Pepita

We ate dinner at this tapas place.

There were two dishes I really liked. The others I didn’t really care for or like (perhaps I was spoiled in the first restaurant we tried in Barcelona, Vinitas).

The two dishes I really liked were the scallops and shrimp dishes pictured below. The other dishes were artichoke, fros gras and steak, steak tar tar, and steak with mushrooms (first picture). I also got a mojito, which was not bad

Bouchon

We got the fixed price meal.

They started us off with some French pastries. From the picture below, the lemon cupcake tasted the best.

For drinks, I got a mimosa and mojito. The mojito here was better than the mimosa.

For the appetizer, I chose the salmon salad. It was pretty delicious (definitely made the right choice).

For my main, I got the corn beef. It was ok, but I think I should have gotten the lobster instead.

For dessert, they have us some sweets (all of it was good, except I didn’t try the sugar coated on pictured below).
