1310 Kitchen & Bar

We went here for brunch, and fortunately the weather was great for outdoor seating.

Got a mimosa for drinks, and for food scrambled egg as, bacon and a side of ham. I will say the ham was too Smokey and wouldn’t get it again. Everything else was great.

Also tried the shakahuka as well. Definitely was a good try, and would probably get it next time (not just in this restaurant).

Mari Gold

We checked out this place for brunch in our third day in Mexico City.

We ended up ordering things family style, and asked for their 8 top recommendations. From what they recommended, I would say the fish was great. The shrimp cocktail and the wings were ok. Didn’t really like most of everything else.

Will say that I did like the vibe of the restaurant, but not sure I would come back. Also the mimosas were not too strong.

Cindy Rooftop

We lucked out and were able to eat at this rooftop at brunch. The rooftop is at the hotel we stayed at in Chicago called Chicago Athletic Association. One of us basically put our name down early in the day, and we eventually got in (14 people before us on the wait list).

Got the traditional brunch food… mimosa, and the Cindy breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes). All were great and would get them again.

Also, the rooftop view is pretty good (you can see the bean from up top).

The Dearborn

We went to the place for brunch in Chicago (although didn’t really have too many brunch options).

I got the pizza, which was thin crust (so super opposite of an actual Chicago deep dish pizza). The one brunch thing I did get was a mimosa though! I would say I would eat here again, but would likely choose another place for brunch if I were trying to get actual brunch.

Tara Rose

Great brunch spot for a boozy brunch in New York.

This place has the standard brunch items (ie scrambled eggs, bacon, jalapeño poppers, fried chicken. Of course also got a mimosa, plus an Irish coffee, and some other drinks (haha, wish I could remember).

Skinos

So this place has a really great vibe (almost Vegas like), good music, and really good food. We actually went back twice in one trip!

For drinks, has an espresso martini and mimosa.

For appetizers, has the fried calamari, the thinly sliced fish (what do you call that?), and the meatballs.

For the main (not sure why I don’t have a picture), got the lobster pasta and the beef brisket. Both were great, and would get them again).

BB Club

First restaurant we went to at Hvar. We grabbed brunch here, and I have to say it was my best meal so far.

For food, got the linguini and added chicken. It came with a while mozzarella ball, and the sauce was really good.

For the drink, got a strawberry mojito (since they were out of mimosas). It was ok (would’ve really had a better experience with the mimosa lol).

Update (8/5/2021): we came back here for brunch at the last day in Hvar (thought it was that good). This time got brunch (scrambled eggs with bacon). Also got a mimosa (orange juice was hand made). Both were fantastic.

Caffe Bar Vidilica

This was the first real restaurant we went to in Split, Croatia. Everything about it was awesome. The view was great, the mimosa was great, and the waiter’s suggestion of trying out a Croatian dish, dalmatinska pašticada with gnocchi was also great.

Walton’s Fancy and Staple

We got brunch at this place in Austin.

I would go back (as they have mimosa carafes), however, they completely did not have my order lol.

For brunch, I ordered crab cake and egg Benedict’s. I modified the eggs to be scrambled. However, they did not have the crab cake, so they replaced it with sausage.
