Heritage Grand

We went here for dinner to satisfy a pizza craving.

From a friend who went to Tulum, apparently the. One of the restaurant is like every restaurant in Tulum.

For drinks, ordered an Aperol spritz.

For food, ordered a pepperoni and sausage Neapolitan pizza and a penne with shrimp pasta. Both great choices. (FYI we were going to order calamari, but yelp mentioned not to order it!).

Would come back to this place in a heart beat.

Rosemary’s Midtown

Grabbed Saturday brunch with some friends from New York at this place.

Got an espresso martini without any sweetener plus an Aperol spritz. Both were great.

For food, got the pesto pasta, the pappardelle verde, potatoes, French toast, and mushroom sausage pizza. All of it was great, and would get them again.

This place is a chain with locations through New York. This location gets Hampton people going to it apparently.

Note: didn’t take any photos for some reason, so all the below pics are from yelp.

Versa

This is an indoor rooftop / restaurant.

We stopped by this place after work for drinks and a quick / light dinner. Got a version of an Aperol spritz, except it was also strawberry infused. I liked it.

For food for their ribs and pork bao bun. Both were great.

Only thing I’d change for next time is for us to try and sit in the outside rooftop portion, and not in the dining area (they ran out of space in the outside portion).

Refinery Rooftop

We grabbed brunch here, as it is the rooftop of our hotel. (And also later in the day grabbed drinks, which is definitely a good place to do that for after work drinks).

For drinks, got their version of espresso martini (they make it with cold brew coffee). It was really good. For appetizers, got the crab cake. Would definitely get it again. For my main, I went for the quesadilla. It was alright (would probably try something else next time).

Naya (Penn Station)

Tried this Mediterranean to go place for lunch (there is one in Penn station and one slightly outside. This one is outside).

Got the Naya bowl (basically a bowl you can customize what you want). What I put in it was some lettuce, rice, half chicken, half beef, onion, tomatoes, feta, and a sauce that was almost like tiziki sauce).

I thought it was pretty good. Kinda wish the rice was the yellow rice. It tasted more cocunutty, but still was ok.

Patent Pending

Went to this speak easy on a Monday night in NYC. Being a Monday, no line.

I was pretty impressed that the speak easy is behind this hidden wall. And it’s disguise as a coffee shop. Also the place is Tesla themed (the inventor).

I will say service was a bit slow, but the menu looked pretty sick (like an engineering notebook from Tesla).

Got a Strawberry magic (it’s like an Aperol spritz, but tasted more orangey). Also got Toki on the rocks.z

Overall yea, like mentioned, would come back.

Barn Joon Nomad

We went to this Korean place for lunch, which is near the Apple Office.

The lunch rice bowl special is a great value. For $20 you get everything pictured below. I got galbi bibimbap, and it came with shrimp tempura, salad, soup, fried potato cake and Korean rolls. Hands down would come back here again.

Rosa’s Pizza

Went here for a quick lunch as it is close to the New York Apple office.

Just got a pepperoni slice. It tasted great, and it didn’t give me any food poisoning. So would go back again.

Baekjeong Korean BBQ

Wanted to get some kbbq after after work drinks, and this was close by and highly recommended.

For drinks got Soju with milk. For the main, we got the Hodo’s favorite small combo (which feeds 2, but still was fine for 3 of us), which include beef, short ribs and pork belly. All great food (they also cooked the food for you). As well, the side dishes came with fish cake and broccoli, which is what you want. Also, they had this interesting side dish that we mixed with egg, cheese and corn. Lastly, we did order cold glass noodle soup and kimchi soup. Also all great.

I would go back here in a heart beat.

K32 Rooftop Bar

We went here for drinks after working in the Apple New York Office at Penn station. It’s located in Korean Town at the top of a 14 story hotel. The hotel itself does look a bit newer and out of place than the rest of the area. However, getting into the elevator (which took 4 seconds per floor) and the rooftop itself, it didn’t feel as new.

I would say the drinks I had were given (the lychee martini was great and the glass of Glenlevit), however I would rather choose a bar that has a better skyline view and is higher (see below).
