K32 Rooftop Bar

We went here for drinks after working in the Apple New York Office at Penn station. It’s located in Korean Town at the top of a 14 story hotel. The hotel itself does look a bit newer and out of place than the rest of the area. However, getting into the elevator (which took 4 seconds per floor) and the rooftop itself, it didn’t feel as new.

I would say the drinks I had were given (the lychee martini was great and the glass of Glenlevit), however I would rather choose a bar that has a better skyline view and is higher (see below).

Pacman Sunset Restaurant

We went here for our second night at Santorini.

We were supposed to come here for sunset? But came a little later because we were taking pictures somewhere else in Oia. But we did make it to see it would have been a great sunset view.

The place itself is pretty legit. There’s an infinity pool with a pool bar (closes at 6pm though), and a DJ that is live mixing.

Will say drinks and food are a bit expensive, but everything was great.

For appetizers, got a hamachi truffle roll, crispy calamari and tomato pepper spread with pita. All great.

For drinks, got something called tropical art rum with lychee and pineapple juice, and something called summer _____ (sparkling win, passion fruit and vanilla).

For the main course, got something called Skioufixta, which is smoked salmon bits the Cretan pasta. Also great, and portion size was just right.

Overall, would come back again!

Jing Fong

Went to this place for dinner in the upper west side.

Overall, great food. The domain (especially the Siu Mai) was excellent, and even the crispy Cantonese chow menu (got the vegetable one because a friend I was with is vegetarian).

The white food pictured below (some sort of rice noodle) was also great.

This place also had lychee martinis!

Banter Room

So this place is a sorta upscale bar and restaurant.

Cocktails here were pretty good (got a lychee drink, old fashioned and some random lunch, all of which were great).

We also got salute and pepper chicken wings, prawns and pork sliders. All were really good.

Pickle Barrel

This place I also went to a lot when I was in University. Unfortunately, except for the drink I got, the food was not up to par (I’m willing to go back, but definitely will order other things).

I got the lychee lemonade, which of course was great because of the lychee in it.

For my main food I got the French onion soup (or good at all), and the Pesto chicken fettuccini (which was ok, but not ordering it again).

Ryoko

I would go back to this place, although it was a bit pricey for the fact that it looked like a dive bar (food was good).

We got to Ryoko around 7:30pm, and waited 15 minutes for a table for 3 (not bad, considering an hour later the line was really long. We did notice, however, you can drink in the line while waiting. Also later on a DJ comes on, which we didn’t get to experience).

For my drink, I got an lychee Saketini. OMG. Very tasty (although Cyrene thought it was too sweet). They also have a full bar, which I would take advantage of next time.

For the food, we got soft shell crab (it was a decent sized crab), tako wakame su (basically octopus salad, which was ok, but wouldn’t order again mainly since it’s by my thing. Cyrene enjoyed it), rainbow roll (which I thought was good), and the sushi dinner (sashimi, which tasted fresh and was a good size for 2 people).

K Ramen Burger Beer

This place was a great place to get ramen, and also they had a full bar!

The drink I started off with was a lychee drink (I think it was called. cosmic something). It was not too strong though.

I got the tonkatsu ramen, which was good (although the pork seemed more like slices of bacon than regular pork).

We also got a bottle of champagne, and finished off with some delicious mochi.
