Paradise Poke Hawaii

Last meal in Waikiki before heading to the airport!

Got the shoyu poke, which was good because it was slightly sweet, which is what I wanted. I will also say that the serving size of the bowl was the correct amount for me.

I would come back to this place for another poke bowl if I was in the area (not necessarily go out of my way though).

Foodland Farms Poke Bowl Station

Tried the poke bowl from this grocery store because of multiple recommendations from friends.

The order I got was a half and half order. One was the fresh secret spicy ahi poke, and the other one was a more creamy, sweet not spicy one (unfortunately forgot the name).

Overall was a good poke bowl, but also wouldn’t go out of the way for it.

Herringbone

We checked out this resistant for our last dinner in Waikiki… it definitely did not disappoint.

We were after a seafood platter, and that they did have. We got what they called the sailboat, which came with oysters, shrimp, and lobsters. What I was very impressed about is that the lobster was very minimal work to eat. They had prepared it perfectly (ie cracked everything up) for us, but still maintained enough of the shell for excellent presentation.

We also wanted some steak, so got a 10oz steak medium. Also very good.

And since I wanted some carbs, we got the seafood pasta that had calamari, octopus, and uni. Also a great dish.

For drinks, got an espresso martini (asked for no sweetener), and tried their Mai Tai. I would get the former again, but could get something else other than the Mai Tai.

Overall would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Eleven

Went to this place for a super light dinner and drinks after shopping in Ala Moana Center.

For food, got the scallops and the salmon. Both did the job.

For drinks, got an espresso martini, and a whisky from Israel (92 proof). Espresso martini did the job (nothing to write home about, but could get it again). For the whisky, reminded me a little like Toki, but more alcohol tasting. Would not not get it again.

Overall would come back here if was in the area.

Kai Coffee

This coffee place has multiple location in Waikiki, but went to the one that is at the “Kai Coffee Hawaii at Alohilani Resort”.

Got the Kai latte (it’s basically macadamia flavored latte). Thought it was good, but next time I should try their plain latte to see what that tastes like.

Monkeypod

Went to this place for dinner at Waikiki beach resort area. I would definitely come back, but I think we thought it was a more upscale place. Felt more like a Moxy restaurant feeling.

For drinks got their cucumber lychee martini. Was fairly refreshing and would get again. Also tried their Mai tai which seemed too strong in my opinion.

For dinner, got the shrimp for appetizers (sauce was great). Then shared a pulled pork pizza and the fish and lobster pasta . All great choices.

Mai Tai Bar

Went to this bar on Waikiki beach before dinner.

Had their signature drunk, the Ali’i Mai Tai. Overall, tasted great (didn’t taste too much of the rum, and just be right sweetness). I will say $40 for it is pretty high (but not a dealbreaker).

Also tried the royal hawaiian mai tai. Also pretty good, but you can definitely taste the rum in it.

For a small app, got the mushroom arancini.
