1310 Kitchen & Bar

We went here for brunch, and fortunately the weather was great for outdoor seating.

Got a mimosa for drinks, and for food scrambled egg as, bacon and a side of ham. I will say the ham was too Smokey and wouldn’t get it again. Everything else was great.

Also tried the shakahuka as well. Definitely was a good try, and would probably get it next time (not just in this restaurant).

Maque

For our first brunch in Mexico, we decided to check this place out.

This place was a good mix of American and Mexican food/ brunch.

Of course got mimosas and a latte. Both were great, but not really strong (they didn’t fill the mimosas up all the way, only half way, and put half orange juice).

The food was excellent. Got the Ranchero, Fritos o a la Mexicano (scrambled eggs with ham, and a side nacho situation with made it have a touch of Mexico, plus beans).

I would come back here again (even though they had the watered down drinks).

Mykonos Social

We twenty to this place for dinner because Jason Atherton (head chef of this restaurant) is a Michelin star chef.

This restaurant is in a resort in what we called the “rich” part of Mykonos. You NEED a reservation to get into the resort (it’s guarded by a gate).

For drinks, we got a white wine from Santorini. Also got something called The Avenger (which had a mix of Monkey Shoulder whisky, and some tomato sauce. Almost feel it was derived from a Caesar, but it’s not spicey.

For appetizers, we got a salmon dish, a ham dish, a dish with feta and vegetables in bread, and sea bass with pesto. All great and would get them again.

For the main, we got a medium cooked tomahawk steak, penne with pesto, a Greek salad, and some sort of fish dish. All were great.

For desert, got a white chocolate cake thing. It’s good in small doses (wouldn’t get one for myself).

Prep’ La Crepe

Started off the third day of Madrid having coffee and lunch at this place.

So this was the first time I had a savory crepe, and it was delicious. Got a simple one (ham y cheddar). It was good, but would get the one my friend got next time (his had mushrooms, cheese, bacon and egg). Also got a latte. Would recommend this place.

Carmen

Went to this place for brunch the second day at defected. Ordered the lasagna with white wine. It’s were excellent. The view was also excellent.

Update (8/8/2021): got scrambled eggs with ham plus a latte. All pretty good (also the toast and butter were good… apparently butter in Europe is different).

Update (8/9/2021): got an omelette. Also good, but would get the two dishes above over the omelette.

South Beach Cafe

Went here to work since they close at 9pm.

I actually got a breakfast item even though it was dinner. I got the ham, cheese, and egg focaccia. Overall, delicious and worth the price.

I also got the mimosa, which I believe had orange juice that was freshly squeezed. It was one of the best mimosa’s I’ve had!

The only complaint about this place is that it has flies. They can be distracting when trying to work.

The Creamery

Decided to try out this place (across the street from where I live) for brunch.

I ordered the Creamery Breakfast (chose ham and potatoes as my options). It was pretty good. The eggs were a bit bland, but adding salt or ketchup did the trick.

For a drink, I ordered a mimosa. I gotta say the mimosa seemed like it was made from non-new champagne (it seemed flat).
