Daichi Ramen

Tried this Japanese restaurant in Hawaii (we had an interesting conversation about a Japanese restaurant in this state, but I guess 80 years is a long time that it isn’t an issue).

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was good, but the pork was too salty. Also, I tried the gyoza, and only thought it was ok. The shrimp and chicken karaage were basically like breaded shrimp and chicken. I was ok with it, but definitely under impressed.

Also, unfortunately this place does not serve any alcohol.

Overall, not sure if I would go back to this place.

Sarku

This is a fast food Japanese restaurant in Westfield mall in SF.

I got the bento box combo. It’s good if you want a variety of things. I got it with beef. Next time I would get it with chicken (beef was ok, but I think the chicken will be better).

Twister (SOMA Street Food)

Thought I’d change it up a bit and go to the Other food truck place nearby, soma street food. I definitely enjoyed the chill house music the DJ was playing (although I don’t think having a DJ is a regular thing for them).

The selection for food trucks was more than Spark SF, but Sundays some of them were not open.

The place I tried was Twister, which is an Asian fusion food truck. I got the bulgogi (with salad and gyoza). I though everything tasted good, but the total cost was $15, which I think is a bit pricey for what I got.
