Lisboa Tu & Es

Translated to You and Me Lisbon, this place was a great find. Had lots of local foods, and it’s in Alfama area of Lisbon which I enjoyed.

We had a bunch of (what seems to be local seafood) dishes to share. For alcohol, it’s mainly beer and Sangria only. The local cheap beer around here seems to be called Superbock. The sangria was good, since it seemed to be a bit carbonated.

For food, got the fried chicken (lol which was not fried at all), sardines, this sweet rice with shrimp, fish cake, octopus salad, some other things pictured below (not sure of the name), and pastel de nata.

Would recommend this place and come back in a heart beat (it takes cash only though). Would also order everything again.

Tara Rose

Great brunch spot for a boozy brunch in New York.

This place has the standard brunch items (ie scrambled eggs, bacon, jalapeño poppers, fried chicken. Of course also got a mimosa, plus an Irish coffee, and some other drinks (haha, wish I could remember).

Surisan

Went here for brunch. What’s interesting about this place is that it is Korean.

I got the bulgogi bap, which of course I found great. I also had a side of bacon. What I should’ve got a side of (but tried from someone else) was millennium bacon. Mmmm. Also, tried the Korean fried chicken. Also great.

And what brunch would be complete without a mimosa? They did have bottomless, but opted to not do that mainly because of the previous night.

Overall, definitely coming back to this place. Maybe next time family style might be a better choice, since trying a variety of food made the experience that much better.

The Farmer’s Union

I would come back to this place, but probably stick to the appetizers.

For a drink, I got an old fashioned and a something else (which I can’t remember he name or whether it was good. Hmm ;)).

For appetizers, we got the poutine, calamari and Mac and cheese. All of them but the poutine I would get again.

For the main course, I got the pork shoulder. It was ok, but I would choose something else to eat for next time.

Update (6/8/18): I got the Fried chicken, and I gotta say that it was pretty good. Also, I tried the dennoginizer double IPA (suggested by Yuriy), and I will definitely come back for it.
