Galpao Gaucho

This Brazilian steakhouse was a great suggestion by one of my directs (as an alternative to Fogo de Chau).

The salad bar was decent (and really loved the soup they offered).

The meat selection was great (from bacon wrapped meat to cheese wrapped chicken).

Mandarin Gourmet

We went to this restaurant, and ordered wayyy to much food. However, food was great.

We started off with the Pu-Pu platter (Ben partly got it because of the name). It’s actually a great deal if you have more than 2 people (and from what I remember, all the samplers were good). What you get: spring rolls, spare ribs, beef teriyaki, spare ribs, crab cake.

For the mains, we got the chow fun with beef, and some sort of chicken dish. I remember the chicken dish being slightly salty.

Duke of Edinburgh

Had a team lunch here, since it’s walkable from Apple Park.

For bar food, I found the prices slightly high. I ended up getting the fish and chips, which was pretty standard. I also had an old fashion to accompany it.

I wouldn’t mind coming back here, but definitely not a first choice for lunch.

Koja Kitchen (Cupertino)

I checked out Koja in Cupertino to see how different it would be from SF. And indeed there were differences.

I got the chicken bowl, and it was actually one dollar cheaper than SF. Also, the sauce that comes with the bowl is more spicy and thicker. They also gave a lot more meat.

And one thing to call out is the vibe. It’s sort of like a cafe, and they do serve beer. Will probably go back and do some work there.

Lazy Dog

Not my first time here, but this time around, I came here with my team.

Although this restaurant does not have as quite extensive menu compared to BJs, they do still have a full bar and I’m a fan of every dish I’ve had so far.

This time around, I ordered the sticky ribs and umami fried (fyi there is a similar order that has BBQ sauce. I didn’t get that one since I think the calorie difference was around 1000! And I still enjoyed the sticky ribs).

Update 4/6/2019: Ordered the Wok Teriyaki with shrimp. It tasted good, but I would probably still go with the ribs if you’re not trying to avoid meat. Also, got the wok calamari as an appetizer. Definitely I tell an app to order again. For dessert, got the banana pudding and s’mores cakes. I would get the s’mores cake again.

BJs

An American restaurant I keep coming back to, mainly since they have a lot of variety, and they have plenty of drink selections (they have a blender plus happy hour!).

This time around I got an old fashioned and the Deep dish ziti. The old fashioned usually has about two shots of alcohol in it, although admittedly it isn’t the best old fashioned.

The deep dish ziti is basically like a meat lovers pizza in pasta form (and I’ve definitely re-ordered it multiple times).

Eureka!

Came here with my team for a team lunch (not on Apple’s dime), and overall, not sure if I would come back.

I ordered the grilled chicken tacos, with a side of Mac cheese balls (basically Mac and cheese surrounded by a deep fried layer). I have to say I wasn’t a fan of the tacos (the taco shell was not super tasty… very “corny”).

For the drink, I ordered the Eureka! punch, which from the ingredient list had a lot going on (over 10 things in it). It was sweet, but too the point of too sweet even for me.

Kura (aka Kula)

Overall, this sushi place is good for the fact you can get a lot of selection, and each plate is usually only $2. However, the quality is not the best (but not the worst, just ok).
