Froth

Had this almost every day when working remotely in New York at the lower east side. Great lattes (almost like blue bottle, so sweet and not bitter like other coffees).

I also did get the breakfast sandwich/wrap (bacon, egg). It was ok, but won’t say it was my favorite didn’t get it again out of the 6 times I went… so).

But yea, would come back (obviously since I went there 6 times).

Starbucks – Gion District

We went to a Starbucks in one of the really older parts of the Gion district called Masuyacho. This Starbucks is not only in a really old “house”, but you get to sit on the floor while eating / drinking (aka eating Japanese style).

I ordered a mocha, and a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. The interesting thing about this one is that it also had ketchup in it (the Japanese love their ketchup).

Corica

We grabbed a latte at this place on our 3rd day in Brussels. They were pretty legit. They asked if I wanted strong or medium strength for the latte, and it was pretty good. I would come back here again.

Aksum Coffee House

Went here for our first coffee in Brussels.

Got a latte. Although current Google rating is 3.4 stars, it was actually pretty good. Also seems like a good place to work. Would come back. Just have to remember to ask them to not make it super hot.

Freddo Freddo

We checked out this place because I was craving an affogoto.

The barista was great. She gave us free samples upon eneterinf, and she understood English (and what an affogoto was). The flavor I ended up getting was a hazelnut gelato. Would come back here (and my stomach didn’t get upset after this).

Syra Coffee

We went to this place for the first round of coffee in our 2nd day in Madrid.

I was about to get an iced mocha, but the barista insisted I get an iced latte so I could taste the actual flavor of the coffee. He also weighed the grinded coffee. Would come back here again.

Green Flash

Tried out this place for a caffeine pickup.

This place is pretty comparable to Kona Coffee and Tea (ie it is a bit watery). But what turned me off about this place is the service. The cash register person seemed like she really wanted to rush me out (ie I said I would be ordering several drinks, and she wanted to check me out when I just ordered one drink). For this reason I wouldn’t come back to this place (although the mocha I ordered was acceptable. Also, the green flash smoothie that someone else ordered was pretty good).

Kona Wave Cafe

Came here for a second lunch, since a friend recommended that this place had the best Açaí bowl in Kona.

I ended up getting the Kona Wave Bowl, which was really good (I don’t usually have açaí bowls, so it’s difficult to make any comparison. However, I would get another here again).

HiCo

Needed to grab coffee, and this place was recommended by a friend.

I definitely liked the ambience of the place (could go there to work). I ordered an iced mocha, and thought it was great. They also have musubi. I ended up getting the crab musubi, which I thought tasted pretty good. Overall, liked this coffee place.

Update 11/29/2020: I tried the soak musubi this time, and because of the hot sauce they added on top, the crab musubi was way better.

Kona Coffee & Tea

Stopped by this place to get an espresso (as this is Sam’s go to cafe in Kona). Got an espresso shake (which is vanilla ice cream with 2 shots of espresso). Definitely did not regret it. I’ll grab a latte and mocha next time (and update this post).
