Mai Tai Bar

Went to this bar on Waikiki beach before dinner.

Had their signature drunk, the Ali’i Mai Tai. Overall, tasted great (didn’t taste too much of the rum, and just be right sweetness). I will say $40 for it is pretty high (but not a dealbreaker).

Also tried the royal hawaiian mai tai. Also pretty good, but you can definitely taste the rum in it.

For a small app, got the mushroom arancini.

EP Bar

This bar is a record themed bar

Looks like they are a high ball themed based bar also. Didn’t get one thing time, but next time I will!

For drinks go their version of an old fashioned called the EP bar old fashioned. Difference is that’s has coffee liqueur and absinthe.

Skull and Crown

After dinner we went here for some tiki based cocktails.

Also, found it interesting they referenced the SF bar Smugglers cove (I think they said their first drink on the menu is from or inspired from there).

Vibe was a mix between a speak easy and a tiki themed ocean bar.

For drinks got the Koloa Colada (tasted pretty much like a pina colada but less thick which was great… would definitely get it again).

They also had food! Got the ahi nachos to snack on.

Coqbull

First restaurant we ate at in Ireland!

We stopped by here after visiting King John’s Castle in Limerick.

Got the 1/4 chicken rotisserie with traditional sides (stuffing and mashed potatoes). It was a good combo, and would get it again.

I will say their whisky selection is limited (they have only Jameson, and 2 other whiskies). They do have Aperol Spritz thought.

ps. I did try my friend’s dirty fries, and definitely had more than a few bites.

The Tap Room

We went here for our last meal in Dubai, which has an excellent view of the Dubai fountains.

Kept it pretty light for this meal. Just got an Aperol Spritz, with wings and beef empanadas. Would come back to this place for drinks and the view (food wasn’t bad, but mainly at a bar level quality).

FYI drink pictured below is a friend’s drink which was a cranberry mule. Apparently it wasn’t the greatest, but my drink was fine.

Bar 44

We ended our Dubai Marina walk by going to this cocktail bar on top of a hotel on the sea wall.

They had “happy hour” until 8pm (called summer sunset at this place).

Got a single (Canadian) shot of Glendfidich 12, and a granny Aperol spritz (which has granny green apple syrup). The vibe and view of this place I definitely recommend. Also good drinks overall.

Infinity Rooftop Bar

Went to this bar that is right beside our hotel in Doha (it is located in the Alwadi Hotel in Msheireb area).

The view and the music vibe was great (chill house music… more closer to disco house).

For drinks got an Aperol Spritz and Canadian Club

Tulum (Doha)

After visiting a mall in Dubai, we decided to check out this restaurant for drinks. It is conveniently located in a Marriott hotel (and you get a 20% discount for being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member).

For drinks got an Aperol Spritz and a Glenfidech 12 neat.

For appetizers, got the lollipop chicken. Would probably not get that again.

Overall like the vibe and the drinks, so would come back.

Dear Irving Gramercy

Went to this cocktail lounge after going to The Stand at around 12:30am.

They sat us in our own private room which was nice.

Ordered some whisky cocktail. All I remember is that it’s be great to come back. Also, across the street there was a place called Pete’s Tavern (pictured with the Christmas decorations below is that)

The Bar at The Modern

Went to this place for pre-dinner drinks (it is attached to the Moma, but not in the museum itself).

You can show up, and there is a chance you can get a lounge table at the bar (it’s a first come first serve).

We only tried the boneless chicken bucket (which comes with fries). Would get it again.

For drinks, tried a variety of drinks. From a whisky sour to a pisco sour to an espresso martini without simple syrup.
