Cheers

So this bar (at least the outside) is the same facade used in the actual TV show. The inside though doesn’t look anything like it (but they still kept the theme).

I ordered a Sam Adam’s Boston lagger. The class it came with is kinda cool. I would come here again, and maybe order food next time instead of being at the bar.

Boston & Maine Fish Company

Tried this place to get a lobster roll in Boston, located at Quincy Market.

The combo also came with clam chowder. I will say the roll was alright (probably wouldn’t get it again here since it wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be. Also seemed like they already added lemon to it, which is something I definitely don’t like). Clam chowder was good.

There are other lobster roll places in Quincy Hall. Would probably try those out next time.

The Wigs Shop (Speakeasy)

Went to the speakeasy as a recommendation from a restaurant bar tender.

I will say it is cleverly disguised as a speakeasy (you would think it is a wig shop at first sight, but after you enter the first of two doors, it makes sense).

Speaking to the bar tender, the wig theme is based off the shop that originally occupied it. The Wig shop wanted a larger space, so they moved out and this place was born.

I obviously got a whisky based drink, but don’t remember what it was . It was light and refreshing though.

I would come back here again, and would recommend to people.

On a side note, if you’re alone, you do have to stand up near the bar near the bartender, so there is some pressure to talk to them (unless they’re making a drink). Which is ok.

Ruka Restobar

Went to this place for my first dinner in Boston (wanted something with noodles).

Sat at the bar and got a couple of drinks plus food. Got a memoset as a drink (of course a whisky based cocktail) and toki highball (they had a very large Japanese whisky selection).

For food, got the Pork Yakisoba. I liked it, but didn’t have enough meet (would get it again, but paired with something else with more meat. Some people would say it was just instant noodles with a bunch of flavoring and some meet added).

I liked the vibe of the restaurant, and the bartender was good to talk to (he gave some suggestions for speak easys). I would come back here.
